Beth Maze, Vice President Operations and Donor Relations *
Oversees the finances and investments as well as United Way of Lake County's annual resource development efforts, including workplace giving, planned giving and individual giving.

Directs the efforts of all marketing strategy, advertising, public relations and multimedia materials.
Rita Zaluzec, Director, Human Resources and Facilities *
Responsible for Human Resources functions and payroll as well as management of the facilities. Oversees internal financial reporting, budgeting and governance and supports Vice President of Operations and President & CEO.
Sue Baehr, Reading Success Initiative Volunteer Coordinator
Recruits, supervises and manages the training details and ongoing communication with volunteers for the Reading Success initiative.
Corey Bruser, Donor Relations Manager
Manages existing relationships with businesses and organizations supporting United Way of Lake County through workplace giving campaigns. Researches and cultivates new business opportunities.
Robin Bultman, Information and Resources Coordinator
Provides assistance to United Way of Lake County’s information and referral program (FindHelpLakeCounty.org)
Rich Coplan, Major Gifts and Planned Giving Director
Plans and directs all aspects of Major Gifts Development. Develops and implements annual strategies that will meet or exceed fundraising goals and improve donor retention.
Kelly Cotter, Initiative Funding and Advocacy Manager
Responsible for writing grant proposals and reports, managing advocacy efforts and developing related materials.
Meredith Egan, Success By 6/Safe and Stable Families Program Manager
Responsible for the development and oversight of the Success By 6 Program, which ensures children start kindergarten ready to succeed, and the management of the Safe and Stable Families Program.
Alicia Garcia, Reading Success/Stay in School Program Manager
Responsible for the development and management of Reading Success and Stay in School programs that ensure youth learn to read and graduate ready to succeed.
Shelah Grashen, Administrative Services Assistant
Provides administrative support to the organization. Oversees the operation of the Lake County Center for Community Leadership conference facilities.
Carolina Herrera, Community Engagement Manager
Manages Lake Effect and CLC Student United Way, Days of Caring and group volunteer projects to ensure maximum community benefit; Manages volunteer recognition and United Way involvement in special projects such as Kids 1st Health Fair, Page it Forward and Waukegan High School Career Fair.

Coordinates and manages the details of Early Learning Clubs and other Success By 6 Initiatives. Seeks new partners and maintains relationships with current Success By 6 partners.
Davina Martin, Individual and Leadership Giving Manager
Manages existing relationships with individuals and provide leadership and expertise in developing, expanding and administering individual giving programs. Manages Lake Effect young professionals affinity group.
Ashley Meade, Donor Relations Associate
Manages existing relationships with businesses and organizations supporting United Way of Lake County through workplace giving campaigns.
Deanna Olmem, Community Investment Coordinator
Facilitates application processes for three year funding, special funding opportunities/projects; manages distribution of in-kind donations and donation drives; and responsible for Find Help Outreach.
Valerie Petersen, Marketing Communications Associate
Responsible for implementing an integrated, strategic marketing and communications program including web content, donor communications, printing/broadcast/social media, print and electronic materials and special events.
Pam Zalinger, Donor Relations Specialist
Provides administrative support to the Resource Development department and serves as a database specialist for the organizations information system. Monitors organization’s pledge processing and tracks all donations and accounting procedures.
