Founded in 2005, the Women's Leadership Council (WLC) is dedicated to uniting leadership
and resources to make a difference in the lives of women and children in Lake County through
volunteerism, philanthropy and leadership development. WLC's projects directly impact the
United Way of Lake County goal to prepare children to succeed in a changing world.

2011 Power of the Purse...a great success!

The Women's Leadership Council of United Way of Lake County hosted the 6th annual Power of the Purse event where over 55 WLC members and guests were able to to mingle, network and check out Passchal bags and jewelry from local vendors!  The event was on Wednesday, November 9th at the Cellar Gate Wine Shop in Highwood.  To view media coverage of the Power of the Purse event, click here. Beat the Winter Blahs: Ladies' Night Out on February 16th!

Beat the winter blahs and enjoy a relaxing evening of pampering at a Ladies' Night out at the Libertyville Civic Center on Thursday, February 16th from 6 to 8:30pm.  Fifteen local vendors will be there to help women renew their mind, body and spirit, offering fitness demonstrations, chair massages, hair and makeup consultations, skin care treatments and raffle prizes.  Tickets are $15 and include admission, one wine ticket and a door prize raffle ticket.  To register, visit www.liveunitedlakecounty.org/missfit.  Click here for photos and here for media coverage (scroll to the bottom of the page) from last year's Ladies' Night!
