United Way of Lake County’s Stuff the Bus drive seeks to provide students from low-income families in Lake County with new school supplies; preparing them for their academic studies, building their self-esteem, and setting them up for success. This year’s drive will support families in the Waukegan Public School District, Zion School District, and surrounding communities.
The beginning of a school year is always an incredible financial hurdle for many families. In light of the additional economic set-back from COVID-19, the need to support our families and ensure our students have the tools they need is even greater. With your contribution, students with the greatest need will be identified and receive your support.
We need your help to collect the supplies that these young children require to excel in school.
By participating in Stuff the Bus, you're doing more than collecting supplies. You are ensuring that our most at-risk kids have everything they need to start the school year off eager and ready to learn.
Learn how you can get involved and access our virtual drive below.
Below are four meaningful ways to support our students and ensure they are prepared to continue their learning.
Purchase supplies for students directly through our virtual drive at roonga.com/uwlcstuffthebus. Roonga is a virtual drive platform, which allows us to safely collect and deliver all school supplies. You can donate supplies until August 1.
Host your own Virtual Drive by creating a team on Roonga for your company, organization, or other group. Encourage your coworkers, friends, and family members to get involved. Your team will be able to donate supplies until August 1.
Make a gift below and we'll purchase the supplies for you and distribute through our community partners. Each $41 donation will provide one student with a backpack full of supplies.
Promote our drive with your networks by sharing our Roonga link: roonga.com/uwlcstuffthebus. Spreading the word is a great way to support our drive and help us meet the high necessity for school supplies.
