Giving Tuesday (Nov. 26 - Dec. 10)

Giving Tuesday is a global holiday dedicated to giving back to your local community that takes place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, following Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Your Giving Tuesday gift to United Way of Lake County will help sustain our new 211 program.

211 is a free, confidential, 24-hour information and referral helpline connecting individuals and families in need with access to available health and human services. 211 is Lake County’s one-stop shop for help! Lake County residents can now connect to a wide range of services by phone or text, and an expert navigator will guide them to the help they need, regardless of the time of day, the language they speak, or where they live.

Our partner, Healthcare Foundation of Northern Lake County, will be matching 100% of new or increased Giving Tuesday donations up to $5,000. A matching gift means that our impact will double when it comes to improving and saving lives in Lake County.

Dr.Seuss Readers

On March 2, 2020, we’ll participate in Dr. Seuss’ Birthday and Read Across America Day by collaborating with our school partners to bring guest readers into classrooms, and the readers share their love of reading with the students. Volunteers will share their love of reading with Kindergarten through 3rd grade children.
