Using your traditional IRA to make a charitable gift to United Way of Lake County offers you the opportunity to play a role in strengthening our communities across Lake County while also receiving important personal tax benefits. If you are at least 70 ½ years old, you can make an annual contribution of up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to a qualified nonprofit organization such as United Way of Lake County. Couples who each have an IRA may rollover up to $100,000 per year from each IRA. Your IRA contribution allows you to satisfy all or part of your required minimum distribution—tax-free.
