Classroom Tutors

Volunteers tutor Waukegan Elementary School students between first and third grade, who have been identified as needing extra one-on-one work to improve reading skills. Volunteers spend 45 minutes to an hour, usually dividing their time between two students under the supervision of a classroom teacher. Volunteers are asked to tutor a minimum of one session per week.

We are always in need of bilingual Spanish volunteers!
